Vegetarian Daily Diet

What should my serving of almonds be if I'm doing the low carb diet?

I know almonds are high in fat, and although I'm on the low carb diet should I really be eating almonds AND cheese? Should I be sticking with lean meats and veggies?

  1. 1 raw almond = .2 carbs
  2. You should not do low carb. It makes you gain all the weight back so soon after going off the diet. Cheese is healthy. So are almonds. Why not eat both? Just in moderation. They are fattening foods. For almonds, have a handful. A handful of almonds (at least with my hands) is equal to about 1/4 cup which is a serving. Almonds are a great food. They speed up your metabolism and keep you full. So what if they have a lot of fat? It is the GOOD kind of fat. It's not like eating bacon grease or anything. Go almonds! hah. But seriously, reconsider the low carb thing. Those diets have not been good for me or anyone that I know. Good luck with the weight loss!
  3. You should only eat fat free cottage cheese. And yes stick to lean meats And a handful of almonds once a day is proven to help your heart. But count your calories and you should be limiting yourself to 1200 if you want to lose weight. And you should only eat whole grain/ whole wheat carbs and very lean meats, and fruits and veggies, and lots of water.
