I need tips on changing daily diet...?
My last question was a little misunderstood, so i'm going to rephrase. It's kind of hard for me to make the transition becuase, no one in my family is a vegetarian. I want to switch diets because, i've never craved any meat except for seafood. I would like to go vegetarian, because, I just feel gross when i do eat meats. But I do love seafood, so, i might not go COMPLETELY vegetarian, i'll just cut out the red meat, any tips on other ways to get the vitamins that meat contains and such things would help, i'm an active swimmer, so i need alot of energy. Wait, i found something on a website saying vegetarians who eat fish are "pesco-vegetarians" so yeah i think that is the route ill take.

- Beans, peanuts and such.
- When I went vegetarian, I simply gave up meat. I suppose my diet was good enough without meat - I ate a lot of beans, salad, drank milk, and so on. A lot of people like to joke about "weak" vegetarians but I actually felt better. Also, you likely don't need as much protein as people like to think. We eat too much protein in the US. If you're concerned, take a multivitamin (but that's also probably unneccessary as well).
- Meat doesn't contain much for vitamins, the main things it does provide is protein and iron which are an essential part of a healthy diet. However, you can get plenty of protein if your sure to eat the right things. For one thing you can get them from seafood. Seafood also has the Omega 3 fats that are actually good for you as opposed to the fats in other meats which are not good. Watch how much seafood you eat. A lot of it has mercury in it but it's only really dangerous if you eat it every day. It's also good to get some of your protein from vegetable protein which is a combination of legumes (beans, peas, nuts) and whole grains. They don't have to be eaten within the same meal but should be eaten within the same day. Google vegetable protein and you can read lots about how you have to eat these combinations of food. Other meats do have some B vitamins, potassium, magnesium, selenium, etc but as long as you're eating lots of veggies, whole grains and other whole foods you shouldn't have a problem getting plenty of nutrition. You could always take a daily vitamin if you're worried.
- You'll be fine eating whole grains, green veg, healthy fats, and fish :-)

- There is no such thing as part vegetarian..you are or you aren't and if you eat seafood..you aren't. The website you found taught you a word that does not exist. There is no such thing as any type of fish eating vegetarian.
