As a Smoker and Vegetarian, should I be taking an extra supplement?
I'm a daily cigarette smoker and I just started a Vegetarian diet 6 months ago. I feel much more energetic from giving up meat. I smoke 5 to 7 cigarettes a day.

- As a vegetarian you should be looking into supplements anyway, as your body might require them due to the sudden change of diet. Smoking won't have anything to do with it, nor will I lecture you to stop as I smoke. Ask your Doctor about the supplements you will need, research it on the intertubes as well.
- Maybe you'll feel even more engertic if you quit smoking. I would recommend talking to a dietitian and/or a doctor about your diet. Supplements are what can give you the nutrients you need from the meat. But many vegetarian diets cover that. STOP SMOKING.
- Smoking depletes calcium. Since you are vegetarian, not vegan, just include lots of dairy and you should be fine unless you have other risk factors for osteoporous. Eggs will help provide you with sufficient iron. But I don't think a daily multivitamin every hurt anyone. You know more about the rest of your diet than I do.

- Less cigarettes more tomatoes and egg plant. Get your nicotine fix the healthy eay. Taking antioxidants couldn't hurt.
