What is your typical daily vegetarian diet?
Just interested if you could share a typical day plan of what you eat. Sometimes I feel like I'm getting too much processed foods and carbs.. Thank you

Snack: Snow pea sprouts. Lunch: Smoothie: Kale, kale, kale (lots, LOL) as well as beetroot/carrot/tomato/mandarin juice blended together. I also had a handful of walnuts. Snack: A handful of pumpkin seeds and a carrot. Snack: Snow pea sprouts. Dinner: Salad of kale, spinach, dandelion leaves, carrot, tomato, beetroot, mushrooms, chillies with flaxseed oil as the dressing. And a glass of crushed ice with orange juice mixed in. I make all my juices fresh and use nothing canned, all locally grown and/or organic, some grown my own.
- Hmmm it changes daily [obviously] but today this is what I had: Breakfast- Croissant, yogurt, iced- coffee Lunch- salad and a mango Dinner- tomato soup potatoes and some more salad.... whoops, I know, I'm not the healthiest vegetarian. Today is a really bad example of my typical diet though. Usually I eat a little more and I have a more balanced diet. I eat a lot of Indian food which means dahl (lentils) that are full of protein and dairy products like milk, ice cream and eggs. The foods I eat most: Breakfast- cereal oatmeal with fruit fruit salad yogurt croissants pastries Lunch- salad vegetable sandwiches grilled cheese sandwiches noodles Dinner- pasta pizza indian food (dahl, rice, curry, bread etc.) vegetable roasts vegetarian sushie pita bread & hummus it's pretty easy to be a vegetarian, there is always an animal & eco. friendly solution =] You can never get enough salad & veggies but yes I agree, I think I eat too many carbs and too much processed food, I should work on that.
- 6:30AM water+lemon juice 7AM 3 mangoes sprinkled with paprika 1 cup raspberries 10AM 3 apples + ground nuts with a pinch of cacao (make my own nut butters in the blender :D yum) 1 banana 1PM salad (usually a mix of mixed baby greens, kale, collards, tomatoes, avocado, mushrooms, herbs, dried berries, or nuts and home-made dressing) 4PM oatmeal cooked with apple juice, add ground flaxseeds Or just plain oatmeal with water and salt and some vegan butter Or collard wraps thai style! Or gluten free pancakes with agave nectar and some vegan butter Or a worthless bagel with hummus and olives/capers Or peanut butter sandwich on worthless white bread lol (maple almond butter+bananas+mango chipotle sauce is to die for...mmm, trying to give up bread though) 7PM cooked quinoa with slightly steamed vegetables and sprouts mixed with dried seaweed, sesame oil, korean chili paste, sesame seeds. Or I can have oven baked potatoes (with garlic salt rosemary basil and lemon juice) Or bean/lentil soup Or rice pasta with pesto or tomato sauce Or tomato soup Or stir-fried tofu with soy sauce and sriracha hot sauce Or raw vegan nori rolls usually made with nut pate and crunchy veggies I usually have something cooked for my last meal. Trying to incorporate more more more raw vegetables in my diet and less bread, white rice, and pasta. I'm trying to be more disciplined but I tell you it's hard giving up my worthless toasted white bread!! (I eat white bread because I get way too much fiber in my diet, but I'm slowly training my body to handle more fiber.) What about you?
